As an Oxford Town Hall Wedding Photographer, I love to work in this iconic Oxford venue. The Town Hall is right in the centre of Oxford and is busy with Weddings all year round, and it is easy to understand why.
Oxford Town Hall has stunning architecture, rich history, and central location make it a perfect choice for couples seeking a timeless and elegant wedding.
Built in 1897 the Town Hall is a magnificent example of Victorian Gothic Architecture. It has stunning carved stonework, intricate plaster ceilings, and elegant interiors with an air of sophisticated grandeur. The venue has five rooms licensed for civil weddings and each has it’s own special character.
The grand main hall has a vaulted plaster ceiling, balconies, stage, and a huge polished floor is a magical location. It’s perfect for a wonderful reception and for dancing the night away. The Assembly Room has beautiful large windows which flood the space with natural light. Ideal for your wedding pictures and winter groups. More intimate rooms include the Old Library or even the Old Court Room complete with dock!
Oxford Town Hall Wedding Photography
Oxford Town Hall benefits from a fabulous location in the centre of Oxford. Iconic Oxford locations like the Radcliffe Camera are only a short walk away. The beautiful Christ Church meadow is also just down St Aldates. This is one of my favourite locations to capture some couple photos.
